Manipal Dubai’s IEEE Students’ Chapter has received the “2016 IEEE UAE Student Branch of the Year Award”. The selection was done by IEEE -UAE Executive Committee during the Annual Group Meeting on January 21, 2017. Manipal Dubai’s IEEE Students’ Chapter has been selected by IEEE-UAE executive committee from among 26 Student branches of the UAE Region.
The evaluation was based on events’ categories such as Seminars, Invited Talks, Special Guest Lectures, Workshops, Paper presentation Competition, Design Contest, Photography contest, International competitions, UAE Region Events, collaborative events with other IEEE Branches, IEEE Day celebrations, Social Events, Visits, Industry Visits, Membership Development events, UAE - IEEE Section supporting events - IEEE Day, Workshops, Seminars, and WITEX stall support. Other universities such as the American University of Sharjah and Al Ain University of Science &Technology were also among those competing for the best student chapter after the initial screening. Attached herewith are few photographs of the event.
SoEIT congratulate all the students and faculties who are actively involved in the IEEE Students’ Chapter and who have done us immensely proud.
