OVERVIEW
Full-time 3-year Program (6 semesters)
School of Humanities & Social Sciences at MAHE, Dubai offers a carefully curated BSc Applied Psychology program with a strong emphasis on theoretical perspectives in modern psychology with extensive training in research methods, statistical analyses and project work.
The programme is curated to invite students who have a keen interest in psychology, its application in everyday life, and those who harbour a curiosity in its solving nature of societal problems.
Along with foundational subjects in psychological science, the program offers applied psychology courses including School Psychology, Health Psychology, Criminal and Forensic Psychology and interdisciplinary courses like Media Psychology and Social Anthropology, aimed at building professional competencies which will widen opportunities to venture into a variety of careers.
After finishing this programme, students would have acquired a range of new skills and leadership traits, ready to embark on a career in applied psychology. By its very nature, this programme has a clear orientation towards its applied aspects in several fields, viz., schools and educational institutions, consumer behaviour, health, forensics, crime and more. Students would be well-poised to work in these areas and gain experience before pursuing a Master’s programme if they are to take up applied psychology as a career or pursue research.
ELIGIBILITY
Admission to this program is open to students who have passed the qualifying 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board, with at least 50% aggregate marks.
COURSE COMPLETION CRITERIA
Students must earn a minimum of 120 credits for the BSc Applied Psychology degree. This must include the Experiential Learning Project (Internship) and Experimental Psychology Lab.

Graduates of BSc Applied Psychology have taken up postgraduate studies and later, careers in clinical psychology, school and educational psychology, counselling psychology, sports psychology, business psychology, criminal and forensic psychology, neuropsychology and other fields.
