Program Details

The PG Diploma Program - Data Science offered by the School of Engineering and IT at MAHE Dubai is a 1 year program comprising of 3 terms of 11 teaching weeks each. This is a hybrid learning program delivered in campus, with few components delivered through online mode.

This program focuses on:

Understanding and implementing Machine learning, Deep learning, and Natural Language Processing technologies for solving today’s complex computing and Business problems.
Understanding and implementing Data Analysis, Decision making, and Business Intelligence tools and technologies for solving today’s complex business problem.
Demonstrating the use of advanced visualization and cloud-based applications.
Hands on exposure of real-time data projects.

DURATION : 1 Year

Each semester has face to face class room sessions and a few topics in each program is designed to be delivered through web based Instructor led training also.

Two areas of specialization are offered with this program:

Artificial Intelligence for Data Science
Business and Data Analytics

KEY FEATURES

Credit Based System
On an average, classes are held only 2 days in a week in the University Campus and online classes & mentoring support for other days
Only 2 courses in each term and module wise delivery by domain experts
1-2 week Preparatory course (Foundation course) on Programming and Statistical Analysis before starting main course
In campus and online support for practical lab sessions
Capstone project in 3^rd Term
Workshops, Webinar and Industry connect activities
Internships and Placement support by Career Services Department

The program helps the students:

Understand and apply key concepts related to Data Science including, programming languages, algorithms, statistical models, and optimization techniques using data analysis to solve complex decision-making problems
Learn machine learning, Deep learning and Natural Language Processing algorithms and demonstrate recommendation system
Obtain, clean, and transform data processing practices within data science and business analytics domain
Analyze Data and develop business data-stories using Business Intelligence & visualization tools
Understand the use of Big Data techniques and practices in cloud platforms

ELIGIBILITY

Graduates from a recognized institute/University with one Maths/Statistics/Programming as a course in the qualifying degree.
Minimum 50% marks or equivalent in the qualifying examination.
