A brief introduction to ACCA
ACCA is the global body for professional accountants. ACCA aims to offer business-relevant, first choice qualifications to people of application, ability and ambition around the world who seek a rewarding career in Accountancy, Finance and Management.
ACCA supports around 170,000 members and around 450,000 students in 180 countries, helping them to develop successful careers in accounting and business, with the skills needed by the employers. ACCA works through a network of over 91 offices and centers and 8500 approved employers worldwide, who provide high standards of employee learning and development.
ACCA and AAA (The UAE Accountants and Auditors association) have signed a strategic partnership agreement to enhance the finance sector in the UAE by offering the UAE chartered Accountant (UAECA) Qualification. The above new Qualification of UAE is based on the ACCA qualification. This exciting opportunity allows the students to gain an accountancy Qualification which is both nationally and internationally recognized, awarded by two prestigious professional accountancy bodies and gain membership of both ACCA and AAA.
The ACCA Qualification Framework
ACCA has a rigorous stage-wise assessment process for individuals interested in attaining the prestigious Association of Chartered Certified Accountants professional qualification. The ACCA Professional Qualification syllabus is based on three specific learning level and after completion of the programme, 36 months relevant work experience is required to get UAECA Qualification.

Collaboration between MAHE, Dubai & ACCA.
The ACCA – MAHE Dubai collaboration aims to create an Accelerated Pathway for Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dubai students enrolled in the Bachelor in Commerce (Professional) programme to enter the ACCA Professional Qualifications Framework.
ACCA has reviewed MAHE Dubai’s curriculum for the B.Com (Professional) programs and has offered exemptions to B.Com students that creates a fast-track pathway programme for students leading to ACCA Awards at Diploma and Advanced Levels.
As part of this collaboration, B.Com (Professional) students of MAHE Dubai registering with ACCA and taking part in the ACCA assessment process would be allowed to avail the following exemptions upon the successful completion of their B.Com (Professioanl) graduation.

The proposed ACCA – Manipal collaboration augments and enriches the Commerce and management programs delivered at the university giving the students an opportunity to gain a globally accepted and reputed certification that will add to their academic and professional credentials.
By virtue of this collaboration, B.Com (Professional) students need to pursue two additional papers to attain the ACCA Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business. This not only accelerates the student’s progress in the ACCA Qualifications Framework but gives them significant financial savings in their certification and assessment process.
