The School of Design & Architecture at Manipal Academy of Higher Education – Dubai successfully hosted ARCHITEXTURE 2025, a prestigious inter-university architectural competition, in February. Open to students from universities under the Council of Architecture, the competition showcased exceptional talent, creativity, and technical expertise in architectural hand-drawn renderings.  

A total of 95 entries were received from institutions across the region, and after two rigorous rounds of shortlisting, the top three winners were selected based on key evaluation criteria:  

🔹 Architectural Drawings to Scale – Hand-drawn and rendered without digital tools  
🔹 Overall Composition & Design Aesthetics  
🔹 Line Weight & Quality  
🔹 Rendering Techniques Showcasing Materials & Textures  
🔹 Attention to Detail & Technical Precision

The ARCHITEXTURE 2025 competition not only highlighted the artistic and technical brilliance of young architects but also provided a platform to celebrate innovative hand-drawn architectural visualization in an increasingly digital world.
