MAHE Dubai Partners with Vision Concept Aviation Training Institute to Equip Future Aviation Engineers
Dubai, UAE – 1 July 2025:
The School of Engineering and IT at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Dubai has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vision Concept Aviation Training Institute (VCATI) to provide industry-integrated training for aspiring aviation engineers.
As part of the partnership, MAHE Dubai will establish a fully equipped aviation and avionics lab on campus. VCATI, a KHDA-approved and GCAA CAR147-certified training provider, will offer internships focused on aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and hands-on tool usage. Each year, 15–20 students will complete the program and earn a certification titled “Introduction to Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.”
The initiative responds to the growing demand for aviation professionals, with the Middle East projected to require over 235,000 new personnel by 2043, including 63,000 technicians.
Dr. Sudhindra Shamanna, Academic President of MAHE Dubai, noted:
"This collaboration brings together academic excellence and real-world training, preparing students for impactful careers in aviation."
Mahesh Choudhary, CEO of VCATI, added:
"Together, we’re building a training environment that mirrors aviation industry standards and prepares students for tomorrow’s aerospace challenges."
The new lab will feature advanced equipment including hydraulic trainers, avionics test benches, engine cutaway models, cockpit panels, and CBT software. It will simulate real-world maintenance settings and align with international safety and training standards.
This partnership also opens doors for future collaborations in faculty exchange, internships, and student placement, further strengthening MAHE Dubai’s commitment to experiential learning and industry readiness.
