We are pleased to announce the Third International Student Research Colloquium hosted by the Manipal Institute of Liberal Arts, “Exploring New Horizons in Liberal Arts”. This annual academic initiative, conducted virtually and on campus, fosters critical inquiry and creative exploration by offering students a platform to showcase their research projects.
The colloquium aims to bring together emerging scholars from undergraduate and postgraduate programs, encouraging them to engage in thoughtful dialogue with peers and faculty members who contribute to the academic exchange. The event celebrates research excellence across the fields of English Language and Literature, Psychology, Sociology, and Media, while welcoming interdisciplinary contributions from the broader liberal arts community.
Participants are invited to submit papers and posters that reflect original thought, intellectual curiosity, and academic rigor. Awards will be presented for the Best Paper and Best Poster submissions.
Submissions are invited in, but not limited to, the following thematic tracks:

Abstract Submission Guidelines
- One cannot submit more than two abstracts
- The corresponding author should be the first author in the paper (For the purpose of this colloquium communication only)
- The same participant cannot be the primary author for 2 different papers/posters
- Abstract must be submitted in English
- Abstracts for consideration should be submitted to isrc.mila@dxb.manipal.edu
- The Subject line for the research paper should be: Abstract Submission: Research Paper
- The Subject line for poster presentation should be: Abstract Submission: Poster
- Abstract must be attached as a Word/PDF document
- The document must contain the following:
-Title of the paper
-Author’s name, email ID, and educational institution
-Category: Oral Presentation or Poster
-Format of presentation: on-site or virtual
-Paper/ Poster Abstract (300 words) - objective/purpose; method; findings/results; relevance; implications
-Keywords – 3 to 5 words - Once abstracts have been accepted, no changes in authorship and text can be made
- Both the author and all co-authors must register to receive a certificate

Registration and Payment:
You may register as an attendee or a presenter:
- Once your abstract has been accepted, you may register as an on-campus or virtual presenter.
- You may also register if you wish to visit, attend, and network during the on-campus colloquium and receive a certificate of attendance.
